Model 60 Grip removal

Not to hijack the thread (it seems to have concluded 10 days ago), but I am having extreme difficulty removing grips from my M65LS. I believe they are the OEM rosewood grips. I have ttied the suggestions posted here of using the screw, but it's not long enough for the head to stick up enough out of the grip to use it as an anvil. I tried screwing it in a few turns from the starboard side and then pulling but that didn't budge the right side grip. I've tried wiggling fore and aft while exerting downward pressure, also to no avail. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Perpster,
The screw does not have to stick out like an anvil. After unscrewing it all the way, put the screwdriver blade back in the slot and keep tapping the end of the screwdriver handle until the bottom side grip comes off. it will come off!

By Jiminy Hondo it worked! I got the starboard side off but the port side won't budge. Any ideas? BTW the inside of the grips have a 3-leaf shamrock with a letter in each leaf. Looks like "ACE" or "AGE". Anyone know what that means? Thanks.

Disregard about the other grip's removal -- got it with a highlighter as a dowel. But what does the 3-leaf shamrock with "ACE" or "AGE" in the leaves mean?

ACE is the name of the company that made the stocks.
