Howdy Richard,

Your early one is from the first regular production run of 897, which began at serial number 409802, according to Dr. Jinks' book.

I believe those early ones are worth at least $1,500 as yours is displayed.

The next one is from the second regular production run of 3,000 (same source), and those are running in the $1,500 range, as well.

Best of luck if you choose to sell them. They are historic.

No doubt they are cool and some folks will pay over what I mentioned but, there was one as an example with a lower serial that went 7 months ago for $620….I mentioned sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower. There are some listed here that sold higher as well, but if a guy looks around, they can be found at a much better value than $1200 to $1500 which is just plain silly to pay that much. The one I mentioned that went at $620 is here below in the cloudflare link and admittedly a fantastic buy but not uncommon…let's be realistic boys, these are not N frame magnums or Outdoorsmans, they made a kagillion of these things and still do… don't exaggerate their value although they are very cool early model 60s' and sought after, they just are not $1500 revolvers.

I am fortunate to have a 60, square butt, that was manufactured in 1984 as a limited run for John Jovino. I bought it new sometime back there and still have it, NIB. Nah, I wouldn't take 1500 for it!

Mine is 515xxx, bought it in Ft. Collins, CO in 1968 I think.
It was the first one I ever saw in person!
