Latest update after a little work and day at the range
I had Teddy Jacobson at Actions by "T" perform a Complete Action Job (reducing the trigger pull from 14 to 8 pounds and jewel and polish the cylinder and chamber. All internals and the hammer are now jeweled. Terrific work, as usual, Teddy.
I shot (10) different types of ammunition in all today. The only available .327 mag I have yet to try is Gold Dot 115 gr. GDHP and I will try it next week.. Best of both Federal's was Hydra Shok, 85 gr. JHP. All (3) Buffalo Bore loads expanded the casings making them difficult to eject.. They are too POTENT for the pistol (Hardcast 130 gr. being the worst). Buffalo Bore .32 H&R, Mag +P, 100 gr. was acceptable.
The most accurate and comfortable to shoot was Black Hills .32 H&R Magnum, 85 gr. This is a great load for the revolver.
Biggest Surprise was DPX ACP, 60 gr., JHP. Very accurate, no kick, on ejection issues.
Most fun to shoot - various .32 ammunition (all MagTech)....
.32 S&WL 98 LRN, .32 S&WL 98 gr. LWC and .32 S&W 85 gr. LRN (short).
Like shooting a .22LR. No Kick, one misfire, kinda smokey, but a good starter rounds for a newcomer.
The botom line: The Model 632-2 Pro Series is one heck of good J-Frame and concealed carry revolver with 6 vs. 5 shots, great sights and the power of the .327 Federal Magnum or .32H&R Magnum. It will be with me or my wife on a regular basis.
Here are some early shots. My first impression is very favorable.
Won't be able to shoot it for a while, but feel and dry fire is worth noting. Trigger pull is smooth and positive at release. The grips surprised me and are secure with three fingers. Easy to conceal and light weight enough for EDC, even in Florida.Great sights. Nice work S&W!
