Model 65-1

I recently picked up a 65-1. It's in really nice condition and came with a like new bucheimer holster. It has a 1D14xxx serial number.
Does anyone know any information about his gun? Age,etc?

I saw a really nice 64 early this week, with box for $399, but the gun fund and the tax bill seem to be at odds this year.

you're S&W model 65-1 .357 magnum military and police is a good choice in a stainless steel revolver. they were made from 1972 - 2004. your revolver was made 1976 - 1977 with counterbored cylinders and a pinned barrel. enjoy your "new" S&W revolver.
