Nice revolver..I think it is from Edmunds County South Dakota...ex police revolver? SN#30D33xx. Any clues as to DOM? It is in very good condition and locks up tight.

Gun markings

Hey coneten,
I like that 65, but then I am a 65 freak. Usually they are reasonably priced as compared to other models, but in my opinion, and I have shot several other models, the action is one of the smoothest I've felt in a stock handgun. I have a 65-4 ser no. BERxxxx made in 1990. It is marked in about the same place but I haven't had any luck finding out what it means except that is probably a LEO trade in. Good luck. Those are good shooters for sure. here is a pic-o-mine.
Peace,
gordon:)

I just got some good info on my ESCD marked revolver. A gunboards member was in corrections academy and recalled the revolvers being marked ECSD. Escambia Couty Sheriffs Department..Pensacola, Fla. Stainless in Florida..good idea!
