Good evening

I picked up a 3 inch 65-3 .357 today and would like to ask for some help in determining any additional information available. The finish is in fair shape, some light scratches in the stainless, the panels are nice and in decent condition. The serial is ANS 4920. I am adding this to my 64-3, 686 and a well worn, but faithful 638. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

That's a nice revolver. If the scratches bother you, I suppose Flitz would clean up those scratches if they bother you. I hate to get too personal, but did you get it for less than that $800 posted above? If I were to check it out at a gun store, I might consider $800 if I needed another .357!
Nice grab there! And sporting a 3" barrel. Hard one to pass up.

I'd recommend using a gray Scotchbrite pad, some oil, and gently rub in a direction parallel to the barrel and top strap. This should restore the surface to a finish that is very close to that of the factory finish.

Thank you all for the replies and the information. I think for now I am just going to swap out the original grips for a set of Hogue's. I will keep the others safe in the gun cabinet. I really would like to put it in the rotation once we get used to each other. For now I am just going to enjoy shooting it.

I did ok on it also, it less than the 800.00 mentioned. All the ones like it I saw on Gunbroker were starting around 800 or higher. So I think I am alright.

James
