I apologize for not reading through the thread before posting but I doubt it will matter since the only question is whether we prefer a 3" 65 or 13.
I prefer my fixed sighted revolvers be blued. The reason is that in our indoor range and in bright sun light glare makes all silver sights harder to see. Of course it depends on the angle to the light source and other conditions.
Two or three months ago a man was finishing the paper work on a nearly new 3" round butt 13 when I walked in the LGS. The original receipt was in the box and the store was including a box of shells that matched the one on the receipt. There were six empties. Yes, I coveted the other customer's gun but since I did not ask what he paid I doubt that it will cost me my soul. He was happy to let me handle it and discuss S&W revolvers.
That made a 13 the more coveted at the place and time.
