I recently bought my second 659. The first I traded off a few years ago and wish I had not.
The 659 fits my hand well and I like the weight. I never had a single issue with the one I had before, scoring Pistol Master on an FBI qualification course back in 1985 with the gun.
I think you will like it.

Mine was finicky about MECGAR mags before I sent it to S&W for some tweaking.
