Model 66-2. 2 1/2" Grips

Wow! Those are secret servoce grips on the colt?? What grain is that? Did you get them from eagle directly? I dont seem to find them on the website in that grain

Another option is to commission Curtis Harlow here on the forum to make you a pair.

Not a 2.5" 66, but here are three photos of a 2.5" Model 10 wearing a pair of custom Harlow stocks that I had him extend just a bit beyond Magna length and add Spegel-like speed loader scalloping to. They came out perfect and fit my hand like a glove.

Sweet grips!
Does Curtis Harlow advertise or have a website that I can look at?
Is his username... Curtis Harlow?

I've had these grips on that model 19 for so many years I can't even remember where they came from or who made them. I'll pull them off in a bit and see if there's a maker's mark. Seems like I can remember "Secret Service" being in their description but not sure.

Those are very likely from Eagle Grips and are the Secret Service model in Ebony.

I had a set of Ebony from Eagle Grips that were checkered and those were the sweetest set of grips!

Unfortunately, Eagle stopped using Ebony for grips... I called the company and they said that Ebony was too tricky to work with. I know it's a harder wood, so maybe they weren't having good luck with the Ebony.

I recently put a set of Ahrend's on my 19-3. I really like Ahrend's, and have a few sets of their boot grips. Nice fit and finish, and they're comfortable to shoot. They're slim, but not too slim, they have enough of a palm swell to be comfortable. In my experience, really slim grips are not very comfortable to shoot, especially with magnums. My hands are pretty large, so that may be a factor.

I really like those Harlows! Going to check into getting a set, they look beautiful… For readily available, wide selection, and good quality, I wouldn't sleep on Hogues, they make nice grips for a decent price. Also check out Deer Hollow. He makes beautiful grips, I've bought some for my new Pythons, excellent quality.

I would suggest hogue or eagle secret service boot grips. Or for rubber the uncle Mike's boot grips.

I prefer the VZ grips for a firm hold.

Man, I wish that VZ made a true "boot grip" for the K frame!
A boot grip that is flush with the bottom of the grip frame would be great, but their "boot grip" for K frame is more like a Combat Grip.
The make a true boot grip for the J frame, but not K

I'd suggest getting a smooth set of grips that generally has the profile you are looking for and than work the grip down to where you are happy with it. I took this set of unfinished vintage Hogue monogrips down to a "slim" Hogue profile while still retaining a bit of flare on the bottom. I also removed the covered backstrap which made it more difficult. Not boot grips like the OP wants, but demonstrates what can be done. Advantage of the monogrip is that it is much easier to shape as it is one unit, disadvantage is it is longer. It definitely isn't a boot grip, but standard grips can be cut or shaped along the bottom.

Also attached is a set of N combats that came to me simply cut off on the bottom that I shaped into a slim boot style grip. I removed the medallions so I could slim the whole grip & re-attached. Hard to find a butchered set of combats when you want them though.
