My fellow Kalifornistanians will understand... been search a LOOONG time for a pre-97 25/625 in .45 ACP. Found a 4" PC recently and modded to my liking. So THIS Model of 1989 shows up... GOTTSTA have it! :D

So now ANOTHER shows up on the local WTS board... a Model of 1988.

Any substantial difference other than the roll mark vs laser etching? I know I SHOULD have both but... Seems I recall a thread about the differences but can't seem to find it.

Here my Model of 1989. The SA trigger is SCHWEET!

I have both and enjoy them equally. Bought both used and I feel both had trigger work as they have some of the best smooth pull to weight ratio. I do like that the 1988 won't wear off like the 1989 is doing. If you can swing buying the 1988 you won't be disappointed. They are just great, fun revolvers that are tack drivers. I have to go look but I think the 1988 is not drilled and tapped on the top strap with the 3 holes.

Mine actually came with a Leupold red dot & mount. And ya say the 1988 isn't drilled, eh? Hmmm... maybe I DO need both! :D

I DO like the roll mark better than etching. The etching just seems kinda cheap looking.
