Politicians by nature, are ignorant to truth. They will NEVER understand the fact that crime has NOTHING to do with gun control. Guns are JUST a tool used to commit crime, like a knife, car, bare hands. With intent, any item used is a deadly instrument. They can't control intent, easier to control the tools used in crime.

Durbin is predictable with his usual rants about gun control (whining about hi-cap mags and assault rifles) while trying to pander to hunters and "sportsmen" as if he's "one of them". [Hint: He's not] Also, he likes to spew that line about 'common sense' gun laws that is a laughable joke.

Somehow he keeps getting re-elected by ridiculous 70%/30% splits, too. Another one of Chicago's finest politicians... Sometimes I'm not sure if Chicago thinks it runs the state, or if it thinks it runs the country.

I've sent Turban Durbin numerous letters about 2A and our rights, and I've gotten back a few responses that go something like this...

"I appreciate you taking the time to contact me, however I feel that...."

I usually end up replying back stating that he is supposed to be representing the people, and that the "I" thing isn't really my concern.

Welcome to Illinois, 2 Senators, 1 with an R, the other with a D, and neither are 2A friendly.
