More three inch madness????

The only 3" I have is model 36-1 with a round grip frame. It currently resides on Herself's side of the bed.

For me each frame has a perfect barrel length, J=3, K=5, N=4. At least for me.

Thought it was fair and doesn't appear to have many rounds through it. I would like to know where the stocks came from.

That's a great price for a great revolver. Well done. All these 3" revolvers got me jealous!!

Since selling a M13 and 686 (CS1), these 2 M65's are about all the 3" I currently have. Top is -5 LS, bottom is -3.

Unless you include a pair of 317's.

Or honorable mention for a 4" M500 (3" of rifling and the rest is compensator).

I only have one model 66 at present. It just happens to be a 3" PC 66-3 F Comp. It is Magna ported. I also have a couple of 3" J frames but no pics. Interesting low serial number.. PCP0008

My small accumulation of 3-inchers:

J Frames: 60-4 and 60-15.
K Frame: 64-5
L-Frame: 696-1
N-Frame: 24-3

Of all the 3" Ns, that 24 (624) just balanced the best for me. The combination of round butt, slim barrel and shorter cylinder just put the balance right in the hand...

I carried a 24/3" for the last year or so I was with Dallas PD back in the 1980s... Charged it up with a 180 grain Hydra-Shok (pre-Federal buyout) with enough SR4756 to make 1300 fps...was quite the load... G. William Davis made up a bunch of his excellent holsters for duty carry...

What would those grips be called on the top one? I have been becoming more and more fond of that type of grip. Are those N, L, or K frame? Normally I'm a Magnas+Tgrip guy, both those and bananas are growing on me.

Also, what's the official name for the bananas?
