Been doing some looking around for the MP15 with the removable carry handle and the collapsible stock and the prices I have found are all over the place. Just curious on what would be a fare price for one of these.I have a bushmaster shorty i bought new several years ago and have not kept up with the AR15 market and had no plans on buying another one until I heard smith was making them and well you know how it is. I GOTTA have one NOW.

Tanner Sports has them on Gun Broker.com for $999. I know, I bought one. It has a different part number though. I'll have mine this week and let you know how it turns out.

Thanks yeah let me know what you think about it.All the ones around here at the several stores in my area have them from $1285-$1600 for the same model.Looks like I will be odering one from somewhere else instead of doing buisness localy again!

It should be here on Wednesday according to UPS. I may not pick it up untill Thursday

I paid 1099 at a gunstore in Plainfield IN 2 weeks ago. That was the most reasonable price I have seen since everyone was hording on the prices the last few months. Didn't have time to shop around it was a graduation present for my son since completed Army infantry school. and yes he loves it quite a shooter

I called S&W customer service line and they told me that the 311000 I ordered is primarily for LE use and it subjected to a higher set of quality control checks. Same gun otherwise. We shall see, but it sounds good to me.

Sounds even better.Just sold that bushmaster so I guess I must go ahead and get that MP ordered.

Got my rifle yesterday and it is a 311000 as advertised. I don't have a standard 811000 to compare it to, but it seems to be the real deal. Only fired it once, now I need to get to the range!!!

M&P15 VTAC...list price is $2,199. My gun shop quoted me $1,378 today...a 6 month wait on this version. S&W is running 3 shifts on the M&P line and still has a 6 month backlog.

GunBroker.com has one of the VTAC version available now for $1,750...I'll wait for the 6 months...with the savings I'll be able to buy a box of this expensive ammo!

I heard from a buddy attending the NRA convention going on this weekend that the new ".22" version of the M&P15 is the talk of the show...$499 list price with availabilty this October in limited quantities!
