I have a Sheild 9 and im wanting to make the trigger a little lighter. I was told that I could buy a Glock 19 stock trigger spring and jsut switch them out that it would do the job dose any one know if this will work or have you yourself done this?

Thank you

I wouldn't want it any lighter on a carry gun. (I live in a free state where it came with a "standard" trigger)

Mass law is no less than 10 lbs. I don't know if I could accurately fire a gun with a 10 to 12lb pull.

The S&W M&P trigger return spring is a $2.07 item from Brownells that fits virtually every Sigma, SD, and M&P ever made. The gun will fire with this spring removed without changing the trigger pull very much (you have to manually push the trigger forward).

I've seen many different springs put into and taken out of guns to "improve" them, usually because the owner was yanking the trigger and suffered from CHS. Lighter triggers help mask a yank, but it is not going to solve that problem in a gun as light as yours.

My Shield 9 is stock, and I shot it about 500 rounds before deciding if I wanted to put a kit in it. I don't.

With all that said, if you want to lighten the trigger pull, please listen to the folks above telling you to go to APEX and get a proven product.

I have a Mass compliant 40 shield and a non Mass compliant 40 full size. I shoot the Mass compliant Shield more accurately then the full size. I have no idea why.

My M&p and M&P9c have Apex sears and the trigger pull is a little under 5#.
My Shield has about a 6.5 lb. trigger pull. But when I'm shooting it I really don't notice it being heavy.

I'll add my voice to the folks saying "Apex". I put the DCAEK in mine and found it to be a worthwhile upgrade. It lightened the pull some and improved the feel to me.

I have not shot one of their Shield replacement triggers yet. I still want to get the flat face Shield trigger.
