MP15-22 PISTOL picture thread. Where's the 22P love?!?

Well I took my cracked handguard off my rifle and cut it down to put on my pistol so. Im just going for a different look basically. The hand guard will go from 4 inches to 6 1/4 inches.

Just used a small hand saw and measured the tape line 100 times lol

If you want the hand guard end to be perfectly flat, this is the method for sanding it. Sand paper on flat surface equals flat HG end.

Then hit it with a polish wheel to match the shine on the rest of the hand guard

This is what it will look like once i get my barrel nut off.

Well this was my first attempt at this. Like always, its far from perfect but the best I can do. I basically took out the soldering iron and taped off what I didn't want to stipple and tried to overlap each poke at a time while adding bigger grip holes in key areas.

I also took down the two humps on the grip with a dremel tool and sanded them down. I just didn't like the feel of them due to my middle finger laying on top of the top hump while actively shooting.

Love the AOW. I guess at some point I'll do the paperwork to add a fore grip to my M&P 15-22P. I am sure that it is easier to shoot with the grip. Anyone know if the stamp transfers to the new owner if the gun is sold?

Your form 1 stamp does not transfer. If you sell it as an AOW, the buyer gets a new form 4 stamp in their name. Transferring an AOW is a $5 ATF stamp.

What would be most difficult about that sale is that the buyer would have to wait for the stamp before they can take possession (currently ~6 months). Also when you originally form 1 your AOW, you need to engrave it with your name or trust/LLC name as the builder of the AOW.

So you have to find the right buyer who's willing to wait and doesn't mind your info engraved on the receiver.

I don't typically sell my guns, so the complications of a future sale didn't factor into my decision.
