Multiple Myeloma .. Prayers Needed UPDATE #116

Prayers up for your brother and you and your family. My Dad has had MM since 2008 and went through the Stem Cell treatment in 2010. The treatments have come a long way in recent years.

After getting the chemo Mark has spent the past week in the hospital ..

His Diverticulitis had a massive flare up and has spent most of the week sitting on the porcelain throne .. not being able to keep anything in both ends ..

His white blood cell count was 820 Saturday and had a massive jump up to 3600 on Sunday morning .. that should continued to increase and he will feel better .. they have an IV hooked up giving nutrients .. hopes to go back to the room Wednesday .. got a soft runny egg for breakfast ..

Loosing all of his hair .. eyebrows .. mustache ..

I wish I could hug all of you !! Thank you for the continuing prayers ..

I think Redbert sums it up pretty well...we are still out here rooting for you and Mark, as well as da gimp, and Mary and the others who are fighting this battle...and will keep the prayers coming.

Best Regards, Les

Mary has had the chemo & Stem cell transplant. And now six days later her counts hit bottom. The next four days are the hard ones then she will be on the up swing. She should be heading home somewhere around the 15th of this month. Keeping all in my prayers.

I think Mary is about one week behind Mark in her treatment .. Mary will remain on my list .. as are others ..

More prayers for all and hoping that every day that passes will be one day closer to wellness [emoji120][emoji120][emoji56][emoji56][emoji307][emoji307] for all our friends that are fighting the good fight. May the Good Lord hold you tightly in His arms and comfort you and heal you completely. In Jesus Name, Amen [emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120]

Every thing is going good for Mary. She should be coming home no later then next Wednesday. She ate a lot of ice drank water no mouth sores. She never really got sick and has eaten well which is important. I'll see her again tomorrow I order food and eat lunch or dinner. They have good food up there. I will pray for your brother and others here GOD BLESS you all.

Good to here he's at home and eating. I've been home with Mary your right about sleeping a lot. But she sleeps more during the day then night. Which has my sleeping habit backwards. I go back to work Monday after 5 weeks with Mary. This has been a life change for your family and mine. So with that said I want to Wish EVERYONE HERE WHO PRAYED FOR OUR FAMILIES A HAPPY EASTER.

Happy to hear that Mary's home and doing well. I will be praying for her as well. Happy Easter to you and her and all the folks on this forum. God bless you all and may He strengthen you both and help her to continue her complete recovery [emoji120][emoji120][emoji307][emoji307]

Please asking for more prayers again for my younger brother Mark !!

Well Mark has been doing well until this week .. His recovery from the stem cell transplant was going along quite well !

THEN .. always seems to be a -and then ..

He started passing air thru his penis .. its called fistula or called a UTI/UTL .. can be caused by diverticulitis where the bladder and colon can touch which grows together and then develop a hole between the two which allows gas in the colon to pass into the bladder !! And then is passed thru the urinary tract .. can cause life threatening infections that are hard to fight off !!

He had a severe flare up of his diverticulitis when they killed all his stem cells for the transplant .. where he had severe cramps and diarrhea .. Drs think this was the initial cause .. where his colon and bladder started touching ..

Been praying, daily, for him and the two ladies who have the same cancer and undertook the same form of stem cell treatment.

I will continue, but add this new problem to the prayers.

Bob
