Multiple Secret Service Agents Placed on Leave

As I said in another thread...The lower level guys get the shaft...the upper and up uppers that make the decisions pass the buck and are protected. I just hope that someone in power didn't make a really stupid choice. If they did...I hope they aren't protected. There just seem to be more questions not being answered. Not much of a believer in coincidence at this high a level...and no way to question the idiot shooter

I haven't seen anything lately about some alleged pattern of visits by someone to and from the killer's home and some office complex near an FBI or some government entity office in a city other than where the killer lived. Has this been debunked, or is there something more here?

I read that a SWAT operator was the first to shoot at Crooks and hit his butt stock maybe disabling his AR15. Crooks went down after the shot then popped back up and the SS sniper killed him. The SWAT operator ran towards Crooks while Crooks was shooting and took his shot. The SWAT operator should get a medal for bravery. I believe the SWAT operator had a 100yd shot.

Many comments were revealed from: "this was not a High Priority rally- so lets use DHS (untrained/unqualified) and have this as OJT. Also, let's have female DEI hires and someone who is breastfeeding. And BTW-- let's blame the local LEO if anything bad happens .

AND , if something goes wrong we'll just stonewall . The media will help us cover this up .

And there is also the Iranian honeypot theory. It will probably never end so long as there is someone around to make up a story. The evidence suggests that the event involved a shooter who was a kid about a half bubble off level combined with numerous incompetent SS personnel at every level.

Well detailed explanation. It's amazing how many people don't understand the concept of "due process." That included some of my former bosses who found that their disciplinary actions were overturned because they didn't follow the procedures in the personnel manual that they wrote.

They are on Administrative leave. They are on full pay and benefits but taken off field duty pending the completion of the investigation. If they are found at fault then disciplinary action can be taken.

This is the normal procedure for any LEO involved in a questionable situation with potential social or political problems. Here in Virginia for example, any officer involved in a suspect being shot or injured is placed on administrative leave while the incident is under investigation by higher authority, usually Virginia State Police. I’m sure this is true for most jurisdictions.

But conspiracy theories are much more fun. Just remember that for a conspiracy theorist, the lack of evidence is all the evidence that they need.

The official wording my agency used was "Suspended with pay, without penalty pending investigation... "

It was often the prelude to a longer unpaid suspension or termination proceedings.

This ordeal still turns my stomach. How could a single tasked, highly trained, best of the best, elite law enforcement organization have such an epic failure on what should have been a relatively routine detail? Again, I don't often buy into conspiracy theories, but in this instance, the SS has made it easy.
One of the POTUS candidates has stated if elected they would form an assassination task force. If they are not successful, I doubt we will ever get a full accounting of the shooting. Would it be due to a lack of interest or are there reasons for concealing certain facts?

I read a week or do back that Burden approved SS protection for the former head of the agency. Another article said she was on Burden's detail when he was VP and his wife got really close to the agent, it made it sound like Jill was responsible for being hired as the head of the agency.

If that is true, what a mess.
It is true.
Further, Dr. Jill's powerful top aide, Anthony Bernal, is very pro-DEI and wanted Cheatle for USSS director as well.

Not going to get into the gun and badge part this is a general answer A suspension with pay is a vacation IMHO. Just as crazy as a school suspension, that just a official break from going to school!

I have always thought if something is possibly bad enough to merit a suspension and major look over it should go like this.

You get no pay, all your pay is held in escrow till the outcome of the inquiry. If exonerated you get all your back money and interest. If found guilty the held money is now fore fitted and whatever other punishments are now forthcoming.

.

FWIW at least one whistle blower has reported the denial of additional personal for the Butler and earlier events goes up at least as far as the acting director, Rowe.

He better stay close to Trump.
I doubt he is in any danger. His departure speech was very powerful. I did not expect that. It changed my opinion of him by 180 degrees. I believe he finally saw what is happening. Nothing like being a victim of your own party to sharpen your focus.

"The Engineer’s Dilemma - author unknown

"It’s not my place to run the train
The whistle I can’t blow.

It’s not my place to say how far
The train’s allowed to go.

It’s not my place to shoot off steam
Nor even clang the bell.

But let the damn thing jump the track
And see who catches hell."

His security that day was a bad joke, or an intentional one. I could have picked a handful of hunters here in my neck of the woods to do the job and that kid would have never made it to his perch.

When the first shot was fired his “security team” looked as confused as a kindergarten class when a fire drill goes off…
