What does everyone here listen to. I have all sorts of tastes, from rock like Ted Nugent, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC to old country music from Marty Robbins, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, to my relaxation music that I listen to while I am working on a project, this is my classical music and opera (very big fan of Wagner and Dmitri Shoshatkovich). So whats in your CD player?

Mostly classic rock. But I will also listen to country music depending on my mood. But to answer the question what is in my CD player. I think it is Nickel Back at this moment.

I have a varied array of music that I like. Being a rock drummer since 1964, I have come to appreciate all good music. The only two types I don't care for are Rap(hip-hop) and Opera.
I listen to a lot of Blues these days, ie: Lucky Peterson, Buddy Guy, Johnny Lang, Luther Allison etc. I also like rockin jazz, ie: The Rippingtons, Kileua, Al DiMeola etc. I also like smooth jazz like Dave Grusin, Grant Geisman and Gerald Albright. I even like some of the most obscure CD's like Andreas Vollenweider and Celtic guitar.
I still listen to classic rock but I am getting tired of it because I've heard it so many times.

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Steely Dan, Starcastle, Dire Straights, Soft Cell, Anthony Phillips, Rick Wakeman, and many others.

Nothing in my CD player at the moment. I'm listening to a bluegrass show from a radio station on the Net.

The last thing in my player was the Joni Mitchell CD Blue. Before that it was a Dylan CD, a compilation of 1960s tunes. Before that some jazz CDs.

My musical tastes are lower case catholic --- I think the last CD in my truck player was a collection of Lovin' Spoonful tunes, maybe early Stones singles, or... Hollies recently came near the top of the stack... Mostly I subject myself to the vicissitudes of public radio shows --- often eclectic and interesting...

Flatt & Scruggs, Ernest Tubb, Glenn Campbell, Hank Williams Sr., Chet Atkins, Roy Acuff, and a bit of Glenn Miller and one CD of Scott Joplin's piano rags performed by someone that's darn good.

Todd Rundgren
James Brown
Stevie Wonder
Steely Dan
Little Richard
Tower Of Power
Stones
...anything with Steve Gadd, Louie Bellson, Buddy Rich, Al Jackson, jr., Benny Benjamin, Prairie Prince, Jim Keltner, Earl Palmer, or Hal Blaine playing drums...

Been quite awhile since hearing anyone refer to Hal Blaine and/or the "Wrecking Crew" that Spector used! One of a kind talent for sure!

The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, 1964-74 Rolling Stones, a lot of the 1967-74 Psychedelic and Hard Rock. I like some of the newer stuff too, like Nickleback.

Grew up with classic rock, blues and smooth jazz. Found hard rock and heavy metal on my own. I also like some "New Age" ambient stuff. My iPod is on shuffle so you could easily hear Stanley Clarke then Slayer then Sade then Stevie Ray Vaughan then Sonic Tribe etc... As a college student I bought tix for Pink Floyd (Division Bell Tour) for my whole family, still not sure how I could afford that. I've also seen the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith but I'm only 33.

And yes, I do like some rap but there needs to be some creativity to it and preferably real instruments. Not just "rollin on dubs with my shawtee's"
