My cat Timmy, gone

Sorry for you loss of beloved pet. There is a cat around my place .i can't say he is mine he is I guess his own cat you can't pet him but in cold weather he will eat from a bowl but he prefers catching stuff to eat evidently cause from spring to winter he won't touch cat food in a bowl .Dont have mice or rodent troubles though so I hope he stays .He is pretty smart as some mornings about sun up I'll be outside and hell co e walking by real slow from say 20 feet or so and look at me and meow like he saying good morning .I watched him stalk a snake this summer and he just corralled him going around and around but staying out of striking distance after about 10 minutes I put a 22 short through tne snakes head he drug him off I guess to eat .He must can fight pretty good cause my neighbors dog will give him a wide right of way sometimes he will bow up and hiss real loud at him the dog nearly jumps out his fur I think he just does it for laughs though just messing with the poor German shepherd .

Sorry to hear such sad news, NYL. Kidney disease took our last cat, an orange Maine Coon, a few years ago. He was a rescue, and was a good cat.

One of those trickling water fountains helped keep him drinking.

So sorry. He was a fine looking cat. And big! His name, Timmy, makes this seem sadder for some reason. I can't explain why. These posts are always sad, but happy in a way, too, because our pets are part of us and deserve tribute and a last goodbye.

Been a few comments about his name. The full story. We got him from our breeder, she lived in Quaker town PA.(now retired) He was tried out as a breeder but she the was not happy with the results..

She offered him to us at about a 1/4 the price of a kitten. Neutered, up to date on shots. My son was going down to pick up a kitten so we went and brought Timmy back. His official name was Timberland of Cabin Coon, but we thought that was too formal and called him Timmy. Got many happy years out of him and of course our other two.

Again thanks to all that understand!:)
