My first M&P - Shield 9mm

Reassembly was a pain the first time I did it. Each M&P model I have is slightly different; should be simpler as I do it more.

No problems with safety switch.

Unless you like to use the safety when holstering and then snick it off once the pistol is secure in the holster. Works for me...

That's how I use it. I'm a lefty and was really bummed that the Shield doesn't come in a version WITHOUT the safety as there is no easy way to easily go off safe. I bought it knowing I would never carry with it ON. However, I have found it very useful for exactly what you describe.

Congrats, but you better watch out, they're like Lay's potato chips.

Betcha can't have just one!

Yeah, our 2nd & 3rd are at our FFL now, waiting on us to free it. I had to practice taking mine done and putting it back together. Me and my LGS couldn't figure out how to get it back together. Had to rely on the manual. After a few times, it's pretty easy now. Not sure about the safety though, may want to get that checked out.

Yeah, my wife bought mine for me, now she wants one too. Hmmm, I wonder if she just wanted me to be the tester so I would buy one for her?
