I just picked up my new to me Model 15-3 4" barrel. I think I did pretty well. It doesn't look like it has been fired too much. Not sure it the stocks are numbered to the pistol. I need to get the proper screwdriver before I do it. I have a k22 now a k38 but I doubt I'll ever get a K32 but you never know. Serial # is 3K3795* can someone give me a born on date?

Now gotta find time to take it to the range!

Now that is one seriously nice Md. 15! Congratulations. I got my first Md 15 recently too. I was looking for a 4 inch version like yours but found a 2 inch barrel instead. Mine is unbelievably accurate and I'll bet yours is too.

Very nice looking 15! I am sure that you will like it! You need a 67 to go with it. (stainless 15) I have a 67-0 from 1973. Good guns. Enjoy your 15! Bob

Very nice! looks just like the very first S&W I bought for myself many years.

You got a nice one there! The 15 and the pre 15 the Combat Masterpiece are in my opinion one of the finest .38 Special revolvers you can lay your hands on. Enjoy that one!

Wow, You certainly did well your first time out, that -3 looks downright pristine. You didn't mention if you purchased it local or online but I am on the constant lookout for M15's of every model and barrel length and I can tell you what I have seen on GB lately in a comparable quality would be going for $600, gun only. In spite of the massive amount of M15's out there I see collectors willing to shell out more and more money for a M15 especially with a complete package. Your M15-3 4" should be in the company of a 2" -2,3,4 if you are a true admirer of the 15, they are a real kick to shoot but unfortunately becoming more scarce and as a result it is not unusual to see them in the $600 and up range on GB. Here is my first M15 4" and first 2".

Well....... I have a 2" 15-3 that my uncle left with me. Not sure if he gave it to me or is letting me care for it for the time being. Either way it prompted me to get one of my own. Haha.

I picked up my 15-3 4" on online recently for a little under 500. I figured if I wanted one they aint getting any cheaper so I better get on it. I couldn't believe that I won the auction. The guy I bought it from said that I got it for a good price. He seemed happy that it was going to a good home and not to someone who was trying to make a buck on it.

The 2" 15-3 we picked up at Cabelas in the gun library. Its kind of a funny story. We were looking at their selection and I saw the two salesmen looking at a snub nose revolver in the backroom. I asked them if it was for sale and they said it will be or possibly could be if we were serious about buying it. They had apparently just took it in on trade. Looked it over and asked how much and he said 400. So we bought it. We felt like we were robbing the place as we were leaving thinking they were going to run out after us saying that it was a mistake or something. It looks like it has never been fired. Stocks number to it but no box. I guess everyone gets lucky every now and then. I'm guessing they didn't have time to review the price on it too much or it probably would have been priced at way more.

Those are some nice 15's!

Now to complete the trifecta. You need not only a 67, but a nickel 15 to go with it. I love the Combat Masterpiece and just completed the trifecta a couple of months ago:

From top, model 15-3 nickel, model 15-4 blue, model 67-1 stainless, all with matching targets:

Next comes a model 18 and a 4" model 48!

You will love a model 18 when you get one. I recently picked up a pre 18 and it shoots like a dream.

Thanks a lot to those of you that have suggested I get a Model 67. One look at one and now the search begins. Like my list isnt long enough. Haha
