My Most Favorite K frame

My unfired pristine 3T Model 19-4. Craig Spegel rosewood grips

I am posting some of my guns as I have them out for cleaning

Looks great, rosewood is my favorite color for stocks after GA. Last of the P&R 19's, and a virgin to boot. I've got a 4" 3T 19-3, my oldest-to-me S&W, started me down the rabbit hole of accumulating.

A nice model 18 with a vintage flap holster is always gonna be toward the top of the list!

All of my S&W revolvers are J and K snubs.

My favorite is this 66-4….best, smoothest action of all and really dialed in for accuracy at the range.

I always come back to the Model 15-4 .38 Combat Masterpiece as my favorite K-frame. I just wish I had a model 67 to go with it. My second favorite is my regular shooter; a model 65-5 (pictured with a j-frame Model 638).

Favorite K

Well loved 1951 Combat Masterpiece with partridge front sight for old(er) eyes is my preferred K frame. K's are nice but J's conceal better and N's shoot better!

Fight the Good Fight...

Everyone should have a model 19. My Favorite model 19's is the 2.5" versions. As I've said many times, they are light enough to carry, but feel like a real gun in my hand.
No matter which version you opt for ya can't beat a Combat Magnum.

I'm generally a huge fan of the 38 Special, and of course the 38 belongs in a K frame.
But for pure fun I have to pick my 16-4 as my favorite K. It isn't pristine, some wear is mine and a little was there when I acquired it. But that's okay, I plan to wear all the finish off of it before I die.

I guess my favorite S&W K Frame right now is this Model 18 from 1970. I reamed (.228") and polished the cylinders, replaced the rear sight blade, put some target grips on it and shoot it a lot. I have quite a few K frame's and it's hard to pick a favorite, but right now it's this Model 18. Next week, who knows?

The K22 shipped down this area in October of 1950. It was my dad's. That M36 Chief is a nice little revolver, but it's a J Frame. Sorry!
