My Most Favorite K frame

Can't beat Spegel grips....... mine is a, actually three, 3" Model 66s. My carry revolver is a "used" 3" 66-4 I picked up about 20 years ago [miss-marked] for $325, I added the Spegel Boot grips ..... the two -3s are safe queens w/ boxes, docs and tools

Something seems to be missing in yer post…hmmm. Sorry, Bam.. I just couldn't help it!!! There's always at least one jag gotta demand pictures so I thought I'd beg for one

The house rule for the Boys was NO pictures on the internet! "What about you Dad?" House Rule is a House Rule

The youngest just graduated from Pitt Sunday with a degree in Materials Engineering....... so maybe time to readdress the House Rule.

Course that means an Old Dog learning New Tricks :)

When it comes to favorite S&W K Frames it is just so hard to pick a best favorite. In post #39 I showed a Model 18 that I favor. I need to show another K Frame in .22LR that I guess is my all time favorite. It's a Model 17-4 from 1978, full target, 8 3/8" barrel and in 1980 I installed the Leopold 4X Extended Eye Relief Scope. I set it up for Hunter's Pistol Small Bore Silhouette Matches and it still looks the same today.

This one is my favorite K-frame.
My M66-1 shipped Sept 5th 1980.
This is how it came to me.

It took a few cleanings to look nice once again.

I put the Target Stocks off a M68-2 CHP that I had.

My brother purchased this revolver new and carried for the first ten years
that he was a Deputy with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department.

This one is another keeper.

Wwll…

This 19 carry comp is my only K frame. Nice action, lockup, sights. It is everything a current day Smith revolver should be. To bad you have to shell out performance center money to get a well put together revolver.

If it's unfired, why would you have to clean it?

Also, is smuggling baloney the same as hiding salami?

No it is not, and I do not want the forum police dinging me over an explanation.

I think Lenny on law and order referred to it as hiding the Bullini.:D

This is my 3rd attempt at answering this, unless the Mods are stopping my answer. I won't try again

Here are bi-coastal POLICE guns for you to look at. Two of my favorites. Both are double action only. Model 64-5 NY-1 from NYPD. Model 15-3 LAPD. Very honored to have both of them.

Beautiful guns so far!!! Thanks for sharing. I have to say that one of my favorite K-Frame guns is a K-22 Masterpiece (emphasis on the "Masterpiece") engraved by Winston Churchill (the engraver, not the Prime Minister) :)

I believe I'd swear it belonged to WC the Prime Minister, and that the engraved "R" was done by mistake, and should have been a "L" for England!:rolleyes:
