Two weeks ago I discovered a lovely 99%+ 1066 at the Ventura County Gun Show and purchased it. (New 1066) I picked it up on Tuesday. After completely disassembling and inspecting it, I believe it is closer to 100% than 99%. An absolutely lovely pistol.

So, the big boy followed me to the local indoor range today. It functioned beautifully with the Wolff 19# spring I installed. I also replaced the aluminum recoil spring guide rod with one in stainless steel from my parts kit. As with all my S&W 3rd generation pistols, it's pretty accurate. The rear sight is set dead center which appears to be near perfect windage for this "little big man."

By the way, I can't see that little orange box on the left target when it's out at distance. So, I shoot the first round to where I think it is and then the that first round becomes my POA. The first round was a little right inside the box so the group looks like it's a bit right, but it's not.
