My new friend: 329PD Alaskan Backpacker

I took the 329PD and my new to me 629-4 Classic Carry snubby to the range. The 329 weighs 26 Oz and the 629-4 weighs 33oz.
There was a noticeable difference in the snappiness of the 329. I did not find it terrible but wasn't the most pleasant things to shoot either. I would take it backpacking or hunting as a side arm anytime though.
It shoots point of aim at 10 yards. Both the short barrel x29s are very accurate, at least at distances I usually shoot at the indoor range.
I am pleased with this purchase.

Glad you are happy with your new purchase.

The older I get, the more I go to shorter barrel guns - I think it's a deteriorating strength issue. Any way, much easier for me to shoot for any length of time.

I think you ment 43 oz, not 33 oz for your 629-4.

Enjoy!

Paul you are correct it is 42 OZ for the 629-4 3" per our kitchen scale. The 329PD is a full pound lighter!
