DennisE is right (personal defense). I have the 329PD. In that case DJINCO is right(painful discharge)with full house .44mag

I'm not real concerned about painful discharge from a 38 special. However if needed for defence I bet I would not even notice 357 recoil

I may take out Tuesday check and set the sights, with a pistol rest of course, range report to follow.

I've not had the opportunity to fire the 327PD but I have shot the 329PD. For combat work I would use the Buffalo Bore LSWCHPGC 158grain +P which should be tripping along at just over 1000fps from a four inch. Accuracy is superior and energy and bullet design are legendary in profiecency for self defense.

Buffalo is spendy but very effective, they give a faster followup shot than 357 Mag ammo which is sometimes important. Iuse hand loaded +P rated 38s for practice and league.
