I finally got to bring her home. Now if the weather will cooperate, I'll get to shoot her. Here, as they say, are the obligatory pics. Ser.# S2722xx, wearing Diamond Magnas, and riding around in a Safariland #29.

The holster was just plain (pun intended) meant for her.

A 28-2 was the only service revolver I was ever issued. All the others I had to furnish myself. Love 'em. I killed a lot of felonious jack rabbits with mine.Great revolver.

You have a beautiful revolver that will doubtless give you many years of pleasure at the range and in the field. But of course, that is the case with all the Model 28's... simply wonderful revolvers made by one of the most outstanding manufacturers ever to open it's doors. In 30 years I've had a number of 6" 28-2's. Only recently I swapped for a 4" 28-2. Simply outstanding revolver. Makes me wonder why in the world I waited so long to buy a 4" 28. Enjoy your revolver! Sincerely. brucev.

I was given a 28-2 for HS graduation in 64. Carried it as a LEO for years in lieu of a .38. Still shoots well to this day. IMO it was the best .357 S&W ever made. Thanks for sharing, and the pics. Enjoy.

I gave the last two 4in. M28's I had to my grandsons...now I hate to click on a thread with pichers of one...oh well...you new gun is...as are pretty much all M28's...beautiful! Enjoy!

I have a 6 inch Model 28 BUT I do have a 3.5 inch Model 27.
Can one say my 27 is pretty close to the 4 inch 28?
Opinions welcomed.
