The name you selected, was the name of our (late) black Cocker Spaniels Father.
Dad was "Boomer" (huge black Cocker!)
Ours was "Hunter" (after Hunter S. Thompson) also large. We "ordered him" from my HVAC boss/mentor back in Chicago. He was "AKC" but had a full length tail! Only one we ever saw before or since.
