Need a Dog House Please . . . Photos Added Post 31-32

No honey I've had that one in the back of the safe for years. :)

I have no need for that line as I have my gun fund and as long as all guns are bought with them, there are no questions.

BUT!!! A couple times a month I will comment and compliment a new garment she is wearing.
The response is automatic. "OH! This well you silly man, I have had this for a couple years. You never noticed it because I so rarely wear it. But thank you for noticing."
Uh huh yeah right. OK baby, you are welcome. 36 years of marriage and we have the routine down pat.

PS. to the OP.
If you are looking for a dog, may I suggest a nicely gaited pointer? That is an automatic qualifier for a couple nice double barreled shotguns. They are just as fun to collect as Smiths and the buying frequency is lower due to the costs.

After being married for 35+ years , and working on 55+ S&Ws , I can give you decorating tips on your dog house . 2 or 3 bedroom , swimming pool , man cave ? If you've been in one as often as I have , make it comfortable !

My wife is the daughter of a 2 time national champ pistol shooter, (He's also a hunter and collector ). She truly believes that real men buy guns, shoot guns, trade guns, and even dream about guns! I don't want to disappoint her!

"The suspense is killing me! Are you forgiven? Is it as pretty as it is in my mind?
Congratulations Bruce!"

Have just now gotten off the phone with the smartest woman in the world! She knows a go deal when she hears one! I told her the whole solid nickel plated truth w/o any "nuances." She said good! And I must say, when she says something is good, it is good!

I am currently at about 10K steps for the day. I need to do a couple of more miles. When I get back I'll take the pictures. Is there someone I can e-mail or text pictures to who could get them up tonight? Are there instructions anywhere as to how to put up pictures from a phone to this site? Sincerely. bruce.

When I ask a friend to guess what I just bought she always says what kind of gun did you buy this time. Yeah she has asked why do I need so many guns. Geeze If she saw the collection that some of you have then she would know I hardly have any guns. A small safe holds all my handguns rather than needing a room just for guns.

You can always join the corps of us divorced guys. We don't have to answer to anyone but our wallets. Its great. The only holdback is the admission price to this elite club is very expensive. I found the perfect companion. My girlfriend has a great job and we share certain household expenses. Other than that each of us does what we want with our money. She also cooks like a champs and likes guns. I could walk in tomorrow with 10 new ones and she probably wouldn't even look up from the TV anymore than I would if she walked in with 10 new pair of shoes. Like I said, the membership is expensive but at least in my case it was some of the best money I ever spent.

Re: Making things right. I've not bought a whole pile of guns. My accumulation is actually rather modest. And I've always tried to make sure that I don't use family money for such things. If at all possible I try to get the money by selling something that I no longer need/want, etc. And, I try to always put aside the same amount or more to use for my wife. It's not enough. But I do try. Truth is, she'll not be to steamed when I get her on the phone and tell her about the pistol. Fact is, last S&W I bought was b/c she pulled into a pawn shop where I'd been eying a 19-3 for several months. She'll understand. This revolver is just plain pretty! That'll go a long way to her understanding. :-) Sincerely. bruce.

You sound like a good husband Bruce. Your wife will understand. No need for a doghouse. Years ago, I was in the same situation regarding a Model 60. I was wondering how to tell her I bought another gun. That night before turning off the lights she told me she bowled a 200 game, her first time ever. That's when I said, "Honey, that's WONDERFUL! By the way, I bought a new gun today." She said, "Oh, that's OK." reached over and turned off her nightstand lamp.

Here are the long awaited pics of Bruce's 15-4. What a great gun at a great price!!

I like the idea of saving a dollar a day for a gun. Mebbe I will get me that CZ 75b I've been wanting.

I realize I am very lucky! I am the primary money, so wife just sometimes rolls her eyes and says another one? And yes , I do let her know it is an investment.
Sometimes I think it is odd, I give some green paper and get a beautiful piece of metal art that can sustain you.
