Need decent leather hip holster for 2 inch Model 10

Look for an old Bianchi on EBAY. . .very hard to find. I slipped up on this one from the 1970's that fits any K Frame snub up to a 2.5 inch barrel and accommodates fixed and adjustable sights. It's the most perfect snub holster I've ever seen. Finding one in black will be about as difficult as finding one in brown. It's marked S&W K #5B. The 5B came in lots of barrel lengths. You will have to make sure it's for a snub.

You know, I don't know whether you are aware of it or not, they actually have a product on the market called leather dye. And, amazingly, it comes in black! :D

Lots of good suggestions here.

Some pretty good leather guys here.

My practice is to call Milt Sparks and Matt Del Fatti, explain my situation and ask for advice.

Then I place my order and wait for 7 months to two years.

Everything has been perfect.

You can try lots of off the shelf holsters without finding what works or is best.

Spend lots of money experimenting, lots of time learning what works.

Take your time.

Be willing to spend $250-400 on belt and holster.

^^^ Milt Sparks Holsters, Inc. is currently quoting 12-18 weeks delivery time.

Several people have suggested EBay. I have tried them before with mixed results. On one hand I got two great Jordan holsters for my 6 inch Highway Patrolman and my 4 inch m15. On the other hands I've gotten several old and worn out holsters for other guns.

Somebody also recommended Bell Carter Oaks. I've used them before. Their leather is too flimsy and it's like they leather is merely sewn together and hangs on a thread. It's like it's not the best quality.

I bought a Bianchi Pistol Pocket for a J frame that someone had dyed. It would have been perfect except there wasn't enough tail on the holster to keep the gun butt from hanging away from my body. (Yeah, I'm blaming the holster. :D)

Try Andrews leather! Quality product & Sam is a great guy to deal with.

I recently picked up a Lawrence for my 2" 10-7 in excellent condition from the accessories forum right here so, they are out there keep your eyes open.
