Need help on shooting bench

In your case, it HAS to be at the height of your open lower window and a few inches below the bottom of a double hung window!

Who cares what others are. Build a riser platform to comform with your needs!

We have had some snow here in Roundup. About 7". Not that much, but we also have wind and the drifts are an issue. So I spent time inside the gun room. I built a reloading/work bench on and around a 10 drawer metal work bench. I made a trip back to Columbia Falls and loading up the truck with all my reloading and gun related stuff.
Here is a pic of the reloading bench. I will be putting up shelves and such when I make the trip back.

Upate: I finished up my reloading bench and work bench next to it. The plastic drawers to the right are for brass and reloading supplies.

How loud is it when you shoot in DB's ?? and what kind of exhaust do you have to eliminate the lead and shot fumes ??

I have made some changes and improvements in the last few weeks on my gun room. I added another shelf on my reloading bench. On the top I have put my keepsakes. I put in a gun safe that will be a partial ammo cabinet when I get my other safe here from the other place. I rebuilt some shelves in the back of the room and that gave me a lot of storage space.

That's shaping up into a real nice mancave. Have you done any shooting from it yet? How's it working out? I envy your view out the shooting window!

I have not had the chance to try out the window yet. WE still have big enough snow banks to impede shooting. And the pasture is too muddy to walk in yet. It is gumbo when it is wet. But I'm hoping real soon to try it out.

Probably no worse....

It's probably no worse than the indoor range closest to me. As far as dB goes, double hearing protection often isn't enough. Ventilation is about non-existent. I think they have a guy waving a newspaper in front of the vent to provide some air flow.:D
