Guys,

Me and a few other Dutch guys need help.

We love the 15-22, but we want short mags.
They are not available here through the normal S&W importer.

Does anyone know if there is a store or a way for us to get them?

I have no clue how the law works in the USA, but here we can receive them without any permits.

good luck with that.. most places i've shopped will not ship anything overseas. maybe you can find someone to get them, and reship to you.

I found a dealer!!!! So happy!!

Then I heard the price, converted to USD, they are $59,00 a piece!!
But I dont have a lot of choice :(

Well, if you can fin the standard long 25 round mags then cut the mags down like in the link boltman posted. Sounds like a MUCH better option than $60 bucks for a mag

Thats my thoughts exactly, so I started looking around, and found out they ask $45,00 per mag here

Why do they cost so fr**ing much..
The Dollar is kinda low compared to the Euro.
They cost $20, thats around €14 So where does all the money go???

Supply and demand my friend. Its pretty disgusting how some companies take advantage of people and they think nothing of it.

I dont know what the laws are for shipping these. But if you want to pay for them and for shipping I could probably work something out for you. ONLY IF THERE ARE NO LAWS RESTRICTING THIS!!!

Spleify:

On my end not, in Holland we are able to import magazines without any forms or regulations, as long as we have a gun permit.

And sure I'm willing to pay, I would even pay a bit extra for the hassle.

But I do think you guys need a permit or some kind, but not sure.

we typically don't need any kind of permits to buy ammo and mags here, but exporting stuff may be a whole other story.

Well, if we can find out for sure and someone can ABSOLUTELY confirm I am ok doing this, I have no problem helping you out. I dont need any extra money, 'cause it wont be a hassle, just buying some mags and shipping them. If I can help out then no worries.

Have you tried contacting Mark over at 44mag.com and asking if he ships of of the country?

He is a great guy and ALWAYS answers his emails very quickly

not yet, tried several shops, but with earlier experience with a different hobby a lot of shops wont go through the hassle of shipping internationaly.

I wish someone could tell you with certainty. I was thinking of connecting someone from customs at your end, but no idea where to start.

Thanks for the info about 44mag, gonna send them an email right away.

(just send an email to ATF to see if they can help me with the legal-side for exporting them from the USA)

also check the local import laws... just because they are for sale locally doesn't mean you can legally import them. there could also be tax stamp (or other) issues. :(

make sure they are shipped as a gift.

Update: No response what so ever from ATF which I emailed to ask if it is legal to export.

But a local shop (well local as in the same country but at the other end of the country) has them, so I reserved them and gonna pick them up thursday :)

Hi,

Info for next time you need bits for your rifle...

I'm in the UK and I bought my 10 round short mags direct from the S&W website. Only restriction was the maximum spend was $100, and $20 P&P.

Jeff.

thanks for the tip.

Well, just received a message that he did receive them.
So thanks for the tip, gonna keep it in mind for the future.
