I was offered a trade of a s&w snub nose. The guy trading it isn't sure what model he has as it was left to him by his father who has passed. Regardless of model I'm going to trade he wants my hi point carbine which I really have no use for and after selling my charter arms under cover I've Been really wanting a colt or smith snub nose. Here's some pics. Thanks in advance for the help.

Awesome thank you. We're still negotiating so I just wanted to get an idea of what it was worth. Ill ask him to take a look.

A straight trade for your Hi-Point carbine is a good deal, for you :). A very nice and popular concealed carry gun.

The .38 Diamondback next to it, however, is probably worth 3X the model 36. Is that one for sale as well?

Actually it's kind of crazy I've only texted with this guy and he seems pretty young to me and at first offered me the diamond back for the carbine. My carbine has a lot of work done to it but no where near enough to be worth that. At first I considered going for it but alas I'm just not that guy. So I told him what his revolver was worth and told him I didn't want to take advantage of him and we settled on the s&w. I'm going to give him a scope and some ammo to make up the difference. Seems like a nice guy. So I told him of a good local site he could post it on and get fair value for it. Man I really want that diamond back lol

So I picked up my new to me model 36 today. It's was rougher then I thought it was going to pit. It's pitted a little mostly arounds the grips and it was kind of hard to get the cylinder closed but I still went through with the trade. Got it home and took some fine steel wool and gun scrubber and gave it a good cleaning. I don't think it's been cleaned or lubed in years. Had a little surface rust. After cleaning it up oiling and lubing it now its smooth as butter. Here's a few pics of my small but growing s&w collection
