Ok how flipping hard do you have to pound the trigger pin to get it to move?
I have the aluminum trigger the pin came partially installed. I did put oil (CLP) on it but I can't get it to budge. I am using the armorers block.

I am beating the **** out of it and it is not budging.

You shouldn't have to remove it - it should come "installed". No such thing as partially installed. Can you post pictures to clarify?

You have to give it a pretty good whack to get it moving. Harder than you'd expect for such a small pin. Also, be sure the trigger bar stays in place. Mine moved a little and the hole wasn't lined up with the pin. Obviously, if the hole isn't where it should be, you can whack that thing hard and nothing will happen.

Rastoff gives the correct answer. It takes a very good hit to get it to move. You might move up on hammer weight. I used a 12oz ball lean hammer.

Well I called Apex and it was suggested that I try a vise to get the pin moving. I tried it didn't budge. I called again and explained the situation. The pin is actually starting to mushroom from the pressure put on it. She is dropping another trigger in the mail with an RMA to send this one back. So I wait......

Had a devil of a time with mine as well, after much pounding I switched over to using an ar15 bolt vice which was pretty much the perfect size, and was able to get it moving. Complete opposite of the effort shown in the video :(.

I tried a vice as well and it won't budge. Hopefully the new one will not be as stinking tight.

It seems to be only the aluminum triggers - I just did a polymer trigger kit install and it slid right in no problem...

It is an aluminum trigger thing. Put an aluminum trigger in the husbands 5 inch pro and it was a royal pain! Finally had to use a vise, then the dang trigger bar moved and the pin got jammed and it was bending the trigger bar. I had to take it to the gunsmith to fix it. I was pounding the trigger pin so hard I actually cracked the trigger. I now have installed 5 Apex kits in our M&P's (they multiply!) and the only one I had issues with was the aluminum trigger one.

I couldn't get the pin moving (in the aluminum trigger) using the armorers block either. I think the plastic armorers block flexed just enough that the force was diverted into the block instead of the pin. I was finally able to get it started with a vise, then I put the trigger on a *hard* surface and eventually managed to pound the pin in the rest of the way.

Yea I went with the poly and had no issues. Tried two different aluminum triggers and no go.

Good choice Sarge. I have installed 4 polymer triggers and one aluminum trigger. I had zero issues with the polymer triggers. It is a good thing I love the husband because he really wanted the aluminum trigger on his Pro.

I radius'd the edge of the blade on my aluminum trigger and put it back in the Shield last night - it was just as much a pita as it was the first time :(. Really makes me never want to pull it out again. By comparison, I also installed the poly trigger with FSS kit in my FS last night and it was a breeze.
