I have the Victory Model stamped U.S. Navy that my father carried as a PBM pilot in WWII and it needs assistance. Sometime along the way, it lost the proper grips and the lanyard ring. I would like to replace them but have no idea where to look. Anyone have any ideas on places to look/shop?

There are usually sets of stocks on offer on Gunbroker also, although they tend to be way overpriced relative to the going rate for a whole Victory with correct stocks.

Keep checking on eBay and GunBroker.com, usually some grips and swivels there. Some of the gun parts houses will often have them. Google for them. The correct grips will be smooth wood.

There are several places which offer some pretty good replica Navy-type shoulder holsters used for the Victories at reasonable prices if you check around.

Of course, with all of this assistance you've been provided, we expect to see before and after pics of you gun. :D

I believe that I have a set of correct stocks. PM me your mailing address and if I can find them I will send them to you.

My dad also served USN in the Pacific during WWII.

My Dad was also in the Pacific Fleet during WWII. It's wonderful that you have your Dad's Victory. The PBM is a gorgeous old bird. Best of luck getting your Dad's gun back in ship shape. That's a terrific picture murphydog posted for you.

You can occasionally find an original (not repro) Boyt shoulder holster the Navy aircrews carried. The lanyard they used seems to be nearly impossible to come by though -- appears to be considerably shorter than the Army issued one as it only loops from the butt swivel up to the holster strap below the right shoulder.
