Just now left a pawn shop. In the pawn shop I found a blue four inch S&W 19-3. Hogue grips. Finish is at least 95%. Price ... got him to agree to $500 OTD. In my area, tax is 8%. This is if I pay cash. Check/charge ... $525 plus tax so ... $567. Now ... what am I to do? Need to ask for help from the S&W Brain Trust. Sincerely. bruce.

All that gun for $543.75 cash?
That's easily $100 less than around here.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

To me that is a buy it now. Model 19s are handy dandy 357s and a -3 is both pinned and recessed, neither of which really adds to function of the gun, but it shows a level of commitment to excellence by S&W and as such makes them more desirable to those "in the know" I really like mine.

If OTD means what it usually does, that is a good deal, goodyears and all.

In a hurry. I didn't have the cash b/c I put everything in for Winter Camp meeting. My wife (wonderful woman) had some money set aside. We were going to eat lunch together. She pulled us in at the bank ... ATM ... cash ... pawn shop ... $500 OTD ... and a piece of a box of .38 Specials. Got to hurry to the church. Will write more later. Sincerely. bruce.

What part of Georgia? No bargains in my Northern Atlanta Suburb. Exclusively beat to death priced higher than new.

Great wife. Don't forget to get her some flowers

Nice score.... and a good price: lets see, $460 for the gun minus tax.....around here background check $10.... any box of .38s another $15 .... so $435 for the gun!!!!!!

That would have been a good price around here in 2005!!!

Take the wife out for dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give the Misses a forum hug. We all appreciate her understanding in our collective quest to rescue lonely S&W's. You have a good one there....wife that is!

I have never owned any Model 19, and don't plan on buying any. But if I found a deal like that, I'd have to consider it carefully.
