New 22lr M&P

S&W will unveil their new M&P 22 at the Shot Show next week. The SKU's are 122000 for the 10 shot and 222000 for the 12 shot. They have a 4.1" barrel. The photo I looked at actually showed 22 stamped on the slide. The slide has more metal removed that the centerfires and no forward cocking serrations. Delivery is unknown as I am still waiting on a M43 from the last Show Show introduction. The M&P should make a fine traing gun for centerfire owners. Bob!!BTW, dealer price, now, is less than $325.

I am glad to see this coming out. I have been wanting a 22 conversion for my M&P9 but since nobody is making one this should work. I hope they are the same size as the parent gun and will work in the same holster. Anyone know when they will be shipping?

According to the S&W website, aluminum slide & metal frame! Seems polymer would have been cheaper.

But under grip it says polymer w/fixed backstrap, so I guess we wait for the show.
