After much reading here I decided to go with a Burris AR332. Bought it at Bass Pro. It installed in two minutes and out of the box it was pretty much shot spot on. The optics are extremely clear. Very sharp.

Really pleased with it.

I have the same scope and it has really worked well on alot of different rifles. It's home right now is also on a 15-22. It should serve you well.

BTW, your son did well, good shooting!

Looks nice. I like it. What did that one set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

In my case, the PAC3X wasn't available yet. I just ordered a PAC3X because of the glowing reviews I have read and happen to need another scope.

to be honest I went to buy an eotech but we loved the 3x and it look better and cheaper.

I wish the PAC3X came with the screw on sunshade that the AR332 does.

Just received my PAC3X and it's a twin to the AR332 except accessory rail location and only one color as opposed to the red/green reticle of the AR332. (kinda like the green) The sun shade and kill flash from the AR332 fit perfectly, color of finish is a little off. The housings appear to be identical. Mounts for the ACOG fit both perfectly. (if your incline to upgrade the mount)

Hopefully by the end of the month I can get to the range and do a shooting comparison.

I went to the range today without the kids to experiment a little. The kids are just to impatient. Anyway, I shot really well with it.

I used the cross-hair for 25 & 50 yds. 25 was spot on. 50 yds grouping was about 1/2" higher, still in the x. AT 75 yds I used the next dot from the cross-hair down. It grouped out of the x circle still in the bulls-eye. At 100 yds. I used the second dot and I shot about 1/3 of bullets top bulls-eye 2/3 out in the 9-8 ring.

I think there is a little more room for adjusting. Tomorrow I am going to check 7, 10 15 yds. before making any adjustments.

Any advice for a rookie?

I think your doing just fine, thanks for sharing your results. I never used the ranging dots on mine and glad to see they are close with a .22.

Well I tweaked a little more today. It is spot on. I am even more impressed with the accuracy of the AR 332.

Very tight groupings from 7 yds all the way out to 100.
