Wow, that is truly a thing of beauty - congratulations gunhobbit!

I've only seen a few other pics of these (and never one for sale), but I have to say that I like the looks of the 3914TSW over the 3913TSW. It's just so nice all-blacked like that (though I don't know about that baseplate... ;)).

Very nice score indeed! I never have any luck finding blued 3rdGens, not any that you would like to have like yours. So all my 3rdGens are stainless. Hopefully, one of these days, I'll find a couple.

Congrats on a very nice 3rd gen! :) It sure is pretty. I didn't even know they made a TSW 3914.

I hate having that back and forth about being collectible but made to carry gun debate in my head...good luck! :D

Who: Very nice older gentleman and his wife.

What: Local gun board. Nortwest Firearms. I had a WTB 3913/3914 ad up. Very nice man says "I haz 1. $475." I did not hesitate.

When: Picked up yesterday. Deal made last weekend.

Where: Buyer near Pendleton, Oregon, Seller down in Newberg. AND he actually drove 100+ miles to make the sale happen quicker! We met in The Dalles....

Why: Of course there's a need! I need to give myself MORE gun aggravation! Why can't I just be content with my beater 5926????:(

And is that a riveted rail I see??? It is indeed! :D

Nice find! Just being curious did you receive the box to date this pistol? The only serial number I have with UCFxxxx is a 945 with a 2009 date code.

$475 for a like new 3914TSW???.............??.............and the seller went 100 miles to deliverv it to you. ..........?......

You did stop and buy a lottery ticket on the way home, didn't you?

We were coordinating a meet for early June, when out of the blue he asks if we could just meet halfway. He didn't strike me as someone desperately in need of cash - older gentleman, older than me in fact, and his wife along for the ride. They'd decided to head out my way geocaching anyway and thus the meet was born.

2009 production of a model that was supposedly only made in the early 1990s. The SCSW lists the 3914 as being made 1990-96. There is no listing of a 3914TSW at all.

Normally I'd say that was a gun to love and shoot, but in this case I don't know. It's definitely worth a call to S&W to see if they have any info. It's probably worth a letter.

You should consider taking some great pictures and sending them in for the SCSW 4th edition.

Unless I'm way off base you may have a one of a kind gun there.

Maybe old stock? With fired case added after?

Online Blue Book says:

Model 3914 TSW

similar to Model 3914, except slide is marked "9 Tactical", blue finish, 8 shot mag. 1,060 mfg. 1990 only. There is pricing information available for purchase for this model. This data is available in the following options:

Maybe I should pay 3 bucks for the "pricing structure." :D

Yours has a 2009 serial number, so there is a story with it. When in the build process is the serial number stamped in?

Oh Bam! :D You are the sneaky one! ;)

I just feel myself falling farther and farther behind the top 3rd Gen collectors here. :o And so far, NONE of mine are anything fancy. :( Just everyday non-TSW, non-PC 3rd Gens. No 10mm models either and just one .45. :(

Maybe I should do like my wife says and just take up shuffleboard down at the Senior Center instead. :o Sure would save me some money at least. :(

I wonder if I'd be any good at it?
