I've got one of those and they're awesome. Hang on tight if you're shooting full-power loads lol

I don't have one, but I will take your word for it! I'm sure they are quite the handful with full power ammo.

Nice! They are neat guns, I have one that actually is with a group of 35 firearms of mine that are at auction. I liked it but it just didn't do anything better than my 4" 629-5 did. Shooting full house .44 Magnums out of it will get your attention

Picked up this one today. I usually collect earlier guns but this one was cool. I think it's a backpacker based on a previous thread. It has a 3" barrel and BSD76xx serial number.

Very nice! According to the "SCSW 5th Ed.", your 3" Model 629-4 (BSD76xx) was manufactured in 1994, which equates to the Backpacker (PC 103450 and 130450, April 1994). Should be a fun shooter and a great revolver for hiking in the wilds. Enjoy!

Three inches are tough but not impossible. Very rewarding when you get a good group. Plus they look so darn cool!

A 429421 at 900 fps solves a lot of problems.

I have two of the LH original 3" and I agree on both points. :)

I had a Lew Horton 3" 629 back in the late 80s. Made the mistake of having it Mag-na-ported. It would clear a range in one cylinder of full house loads. It was like setting off a flash-bang in your hand!

Loading with 240s at ~950fps was much more pleasant.

Thanks! 1994 you say? Well I guess I just bought myself a very late HS graduation gift.

629-4 is the pinnacle of 629 engineering in my opinion. I let 4" slip through my fingers a decade ago and it still annoys me.

$750 was a very fair price for that blaster, congrats :)
