New buys 10-7 and 13-2

Sometimes they come in bunches... the 10-7 came from a local that I have dealt with in the past at a price I could not refuse... $350 and she shoots smooth. Stumbled across this 13-2 at a pawn shop for $300 there was no doubt it was coming home. Aside from hgher priced gun show examples, I have never seen a 13-2 and have only come across one other Model 10 snub. Smooth, smooth shooters! The Model 10-7 will become my wife's EDC. The 13-2 will travel with me in the truck every day.

I've been pleasantly surprised by how much fun the fixed sighted 13's are to shoot. Excellent pricing as well.

I have about 50 rounds of 110grain Winchester and about another 40 rounds laying around of mostly 125 grain Winchester.

I've read enough to wonder if my 13-2 can handle this forbidden fruit?

I miss the days of when I didn't know about such things, and would break out the Model 19 to light that baby up a few times! The looks from my neighbors at the range was always priceless.

I would not make a steady diet of it. But I certainly would ensure that the forcing cone is free of lead buildup prior to lighting it up. And yes .357 Magnums at a public range will make everybody else stop to look at what just blew up.
