I picked up a new 3 inch Python in late ‘24. Honestly I really like it.
The double action is good. The SA wasn’t great. After dry firing the crap out of it with snap caps, the SA is under 5lbs. The DA is under 10. I haven’t done anything other than dry fire and add some purple locktite to the rear sight set screw.
For holsters, I had Simply Rugged make me a Sourdough in “surf-and-turf”:
And I scored a great deal on an ElPaso Saddlery Tom Threepersons:
I like my older Smiths, but if I’m buying a new revolver today, it’s probably a Colt.
