Greetings all, new to the Forum, looking forward to getting some great information on my new S7W 617 I just ordered. I've been starting to get the revolver itch. Ironically, my first pistol I ever purchased was a 6" model 586 .357 Magnum way back in 1986.

The first time I shot a 617 was when I qualified for my NC handgun permit. I was surprised at how nice it felt in hand and shot well for me.

And we wholeheartedly recommend that you replace any S&W revolvers that you regret getting rid of. I started out with a model 10 and traded it in for a 686. Then later I got another model 10.
