First , thanks to all that post the great info on this forum. It helped alot when I was trying to figure out the problem child 15-22. I bought mine just after Christmas last year. The weather was really rotten most of the tim, so I didn't get to shoot it much. Everytime I did, though it would jam, misfire or fail to feed. At Easter the weather finally turned nice enough to take it out and really see if was going to work. I made sure the mags were loaded right and used ammo that I knew was good(CCI MiniMag). It still wouldn't get through a 25 round mag without messing up. So the next week i sent it back for the fix. I put a note in it asking if they could thread the barrel for a flash suppressor while they had it. I got a work order in the mail saying they would do it for $164!! Needles to say, my 15-22 is still suppressorless. Since I got it back, it has been pretty much problem free, with most problems blamed on the ammo. I put a scope on it to see how accurate that "match grade" barrel was and I was pleasantly surprised. The target I have posted here was shot at 25 yards. 3 shots low and left; scope adjusted and the rest of the 25 round mag into the bull. This was shot with Federal 40 gr Champion ammo. I also shot some CCI Green Tag through it and it made one ragged hole at 50 yards that you could just cover with a quarter. Like a lot of guys here, I shoot the bulk Federal stuff form WalMart and it shoots better than needed for killing cans and bottles. It definitely turned into a real fun gun to shoot. I don't post alot an any shooting forums, but I'll try to put my 2 cents worth in here from time to time. Thanks again for all your help.

Glad it worked out in the end. Hope that was the last problem you have with your rifle. It seems there are getting fewer and fewer "horror stories" with this rifle. Seems the majority of the problematic ones have been fixed so far to the "new specs". Which, is obviously a good thing.

I had my barrel threaded by another member here. Certainly not $160. Look around, someone may be offering this service. I sent the entire upper receiver and the barrel came back with standard M16 threading.

Contact Beltfed on here. He threaded my 15-22 barrel for $50. He did an excellent job & puts an 11 degree target crown on the end. He also has some bad a** flash hiders or muzzle brakes. I got one of his brakes & it is really a nice piece. Beltfed has his stuff listed in the vendor/sales thread.
