I shot this gun for the first time last weekend...May 2014 born on date. And I love it. It's miles more comfortable to me than my CZ 75 was. There is just no muzzle flip at all -- the gun pushes back into your hand and you're back on target nearly immediately. It's just wonderful...it shoots exactly like my Shield...just a bit softer.

It ate absolutely everything I fed it with no malfunctions. I shot a box of 115 gr. ruski steel-cased TulAmmo, a box of 115 gr. Italian-made brass-cased Perfecta/Fiocchi, a box of 124 gr. +P Federal flat nose, a few magazines of 147 gr. Federal Hydra-Shok, and a few magazines of 124 gr. Hornady XTP. Didn't hiccup a bit.

It was fairly easy to reach out across the pond and scare coffee cans at about 40 yards. I'd actually hit one about every 5th or 6th shot.

This one has a sweet trigger. There's some "loose" take-up, and then a pretty crisp wall. But the wall is nearly all the way back. It has a very clean break right at the back of the trigger guard, so there's very little over-travel. There is a good reset, but I don't shoot to reset.

The only thing about the gun that I'm not completely in love with is the physical shape of the trigger. The lower trigger shoe has quite a curve to it, and triggers with less of a curve are more comfortable to me -- they don't trap my finger as much. I will likely do the Apex polymer trigger at some point. I bought this gun with the manual safety planning on doing some trigger lightening for a fun range gun (maybe something in the 4-4.5# range). But, honestly, I think the trigger is darn good now. The Apex polymer trigger would make it about perfect for me I think. (Just the trigger--not the full kit with sear/etc.)

My buddy with me used to have an M&P 40 that he sold because he didn't like the snap. Then he tried my M&P 9 and loved it. He just traded his Ruger LC9-S for what may be my next gun: an M&P 45. He bought the compact...I'd probably buy the full size. I can't wait to try it.

I love my new fs9 as well; seems just a tad bit more accurate for me at range distances to 10 yds than my 9c (when using a fs mag) and I also noticed less flip/recoil. Now that may just all be in my head lol, but regardless it is one sweet shooter.
Just cant wait for my 3 free mags to arrive so i can really fly thru the ammo.
;)
