New M&P

I will take it apart tonight after work and see what color the spring is. I have read that some people with the blue spring still have trouble. I downloaded the updated manual page a while back and have only used different CCI and Aquilla so far. My Ruger 10/22 takes almost everything I put in it but I have been paticular of what I use in the 15 22.

I've used Federal Auto Match and CCI Mini-Mags. Bothe worked just fine. I have a bunch of different kinds of ammo (about 6000 rounds total) that I need to try, but other stuff is pressing right now.

I looked at the spring tonight and it is silver, not blue. The four digit number on the box says 0011, but there is also a blue sticker that says 022510, I took that number to mean the gun was made on february 25, 2010, or by the 4 digit number it was made Jan. 11, 2010. I ordered the gun towards the end of March and it came from the factory. I wonder if it was sitting for a while since it is a compliant model ?

Coupla newbie questions

I've been lurking for a while waiting for my gun to arrive and I've admired all the farkled up versions - really nice stuff. I've added a PS22, CCA pistol grip and Magpul forestock grip.

My first few rounds thru the gun seemed to show me the trigger was very gritty - any solutions that are easy other than dropping a new trigger group in?

Also, since my gun is a relatively new issue I kinda expected the faux flash suppressor would be installed -- nope. What is involved in adding one and any suggestions on brands?

there were two different models, one threaded one unthreaded. (not counting the compliant/ MOE versions etc.) you had to pay attention when ordering to make sure you got a threaded one.
