That's what I carried during my police career. I wish I had it back. But since they were issued to us they were not ours and I had to turn mine in when I left. You will love it. It was a great shooter.

this makes 3 of them I have from this one dept. and I have another one from a different dept and 5 standard barrel model 10s. and yes they do shoot very well I really like a model 10.

Model 10s are a special gun that there is much to like about. I prefer the heavy barrel 10s because of the balance as well as their accuracy.
BTW, having lived in N.C. for many years, I am familiar with Winston Salem State.

Lucky you! I've just shot my 10-10 Victoria PD recently, and now I can see I don't have NEARLY enough 38spcl loaded up. I went through 100 rnds before I took a breath, and loved every one of them. I'm embarrassed to say........I think it's more fun to shoot than my 686+. Oh, my, I've said it.

I feel bad because I only own 2 right now, a 10-8 3" and a pre 10 with a 5"
Both still have factory stocks and Tyler grip adapters. Every range trip at least one if not both send a few hundred rounds down range. I've only owned the 5" gun for 2 years and already have put 10 thousand rounds through it.
Now if I could just get my wife to give me her 10-9 3", that tapered 3 inch barrel is just so better balanced.
