Went to my LGS and they used to have an MOE in stock so I was gonna buy it. Lo and behold, they sold it! I mean, good that they are making money and there is another 15-22 owner out there. I was a tad disappointed though.

So I talked to my sales guy and was going to place a special order. The guy tells me it's backordered from the supplier and could take 1 week to a month... This did not make me a happy camper. I was thinking of just leaving and ordering online and sending it to another FFL that charges less for transfer.

The guy talked to the boss and apparently they already have an order in for MOE's and should be in in about a week.

So I paid the money, and am first in line when they come in hopefully next week. With tax and background check (which was BS BTW) total came to $538. If I was to order online and then pay the transfer, I'd still be looking at the same price. So I thought it better to support one of my local shops. Plus if something is wrong it's easy to take it back to them.

I will report back when I have it, tacticool it out and get some rounds downrange.

Right now I have the following to put on:
UTG Tactical Bipod
Tapco colored front sight
UTG riser
NcStar Mark III Tactical 4/32 P4 Scope
5 extra mags

welcome to the insanity bigdawgbeav, (just kidding). Lots of good people here on the forum and just about anything you want or need to know about your 15-22:D

Welcome to your new addiction ive tried to slow down but i cant help it i just want to go to the range and shoot it. again and again

Oh... since I decided I wanted a 15-22 I'm a regular here... mostly lurking since I really couldn't say much as I wasn't an owner yet. I am looking forward to this purchase.

I considered getting a standard 10/22, but it's too plain for me. So I opted for the 15-22. I think this will be a great addition to the family and when my kids are old enough, I want to take them shooting. The 15-22 seems like it will be fun for them.

I remember my first shooting experiences. It was Boy Scout summer camp and we fired bold action .22s. Since times have changed, the 15-22 is a perfect upgrade.

On top of that, the accessories are outstanding and it can be used as a survival piece if the SHTF. Plus I believe that it would be accurate enough for the ZA if that ever happens.

Looking forward to the call from my LGS that it's in and ready.

The plan so far is:
1 - get it home
2 - thorough cleaning
3 - load mag (the other 5 are already loaded)
4 - boresight the irons (I have a laser boresighter)
5 - mount and boresight the NcStar Mark III
6 - mount bipod
7 - take to range
8 - dial in iron sights
9 - dial in scope
10 - have fun shooting
11 - go broke buying more add-ons

IT'S IN!!!! Just picked it up from an FFL after having to re-order it from Buds. Great price and had it less than a week after ordering.

Sitting at home right now. Will get it cleaned and dressed up tomorrow. Will try to hit the range, but no promises.
