Well you get about 4 flat colors, I started out with a tan base coat, then i got clumps of pine straw, and placed it in areas on the gun and sprayed like dark earth lightly on top and moved to another place on the gun and sprayed again. Let dry and switched colors and did it again. You have to change pine straw often because the straw will get soaked it paint.
looks great. how did you avoid getting paint inside the guts of the gun, even with the bolt out? did you paint the whole barrel or just where the handguard ends?
sneaky great job hope your paint job lasts longer then mine
i painted my stock and sights and let dry for 3-4 days before i even touched them them after 3-4 range sessions i noticed the paint on the stock was getting gummy and then started peeling off (use Krylon just like you )but then again i could of done something wrong
Yea I had read it needs to sit for a while like a couple of days before regular use, I think I let it sit like a week before I used it. I'm not using the adjustable stock much because of sliding might rub a lot.
It really is impressive how many talented and gutsy folks are here on these boards. Vitamind3 trimmed a few inches off the 15-22 rail; BeltFed fabricates his own silencers; Maniac is designing a new mag loader.... just to name a few.
In contrast.... it's a big day in Chattanooga when Phil rearranges Larue Index Clips.
