New Powder Measure

Sorry to hear that you could not take it apart to clean all the parts and
get it working again.
I have a OLD Pacific powder drop, that keeps on ticking, that I have only dismanteled twice since 1966 with a solvent clean, oil and dry wipe down, before putting it back together. (no grease )

Enjoy the new unit, when it gets home.

The Uniflow is a great, accurate measure for me.

I mostly use my Lil Dandy fixed rotor measure but then I'm fortunate to have all but 2 or 3 of the rotors. Pistol, of course.

The Harrell's pistol powder measure/meter is very consistent. Though nothing may be consistent with Unique. ;-)

I use an RCBS with the micrometer to work up rifle loads but use Dillon 550 measures on my press turrets when reloading pistol ammo.

I've been using an RCBS Little Dandy for years, always able to find an accurate load with the available rotors. I have one of these measures on each press along with a laminated card with rotor # and charge weight. I made a handle much like a Uniflo to make throwing charges less fatiguing.

Regarding the old Uniflos without micrometer adjustments... I had two of these, probably from the '60s. While adjustments were far from repeatable (the reason I sold both of mine), once adjusted to the right charge, they were very consistent. In fact, I think they were just as consistent as the four Reddings that I've used far longer than all other measures combined in the last fifty+years.

People rave about the Harrell manual powder measures. If I were in the market for a new manual one, I'd probably seriously consider one. That being said, I've had a Lyman 1200 DPS 3 electronic powder dispenser and scale. It has worked flawlessly for many years and I'm sold on the electronic ones. Lyman's Gen 6 looks even better!

I love my Reddings

I had a Herter's fifty or more years ago. It disassembled on me after a little use. Had a number of others after that, including a Harrell. Sold them all.

I have four Reddings, the newest of which is well over thirty years old. These are all I use nowadays. Great for pistol or rifle powders. For pistol, I use the Redding Match Grade with a pistol insert. Like some other measures, it doesn't handle Unique well, but I no longer use Unique anyway.

The RCBS Uniflos worked fine for me, as long as I didn't have to change a setting. Mine were from the '60s and did not have micrometer (repeatable) adjustments, a big drawback. I think they have mcrometer adjustments nowadays, so they might be worth looking at. Still, Reddings are hard to beat.

Reddings are hard to beat! I gave up on my RCBS uniflows with the micrometers when I began High Power Rifle shooting and I turned to the Redding competition BR-3 powder measure. I use one for Pistols and one for Rifles and they are very accurate. I gave away my RCBS to my son-in-law, a beginning reloader. Eventually he will move up to the Reddings.

RCBS Uniflow works best for me. I have three: two set up for pistol with the small cylinder; one set up for rifle with the large cylinder. Use these on my progressive presses (Dillon 650 and RCBS PRO2000). Earlier this year I picked up a RCBS ChargeMaster Link. So far works very well. Use it primarily for stick powders (IMR4895/4064, etc) with my RCBS Rock Chucker for my long range rifle shooting. Very pleased.
